can you tell me some way i can set a list which is coming out of a service called on a screen…and the service is invoking java that returns an Util List…please revert back ASAP.

Based on your response, it seems that there is no way of internally (from PartyMgr) establishing the base permissions when developing custom apps (my intention). Is this really so?

Incidentally, you left out the code for the Webtools method of fixing the issue.

thank you for your feedback. The tutorial is really intended to be run on the trunk, so I would really suggest you to use it for your exercises.
Btw, the HWM permissions are loaded when you run the “ant run-install” target, as described here:

Alternatively, you can load the permissions manually if you go in the Webtools application, click on the “XML data load” link and then paste in the text area the following code:

Where do I give “admin” the “HWM” base permission? I am using Rel 9.04 and it won’t let me login to the HWM application.

you will find some good examples of the autocomplete feature already implemented in OFBiz; for example, visit the main page of the “manufacturing” application and then click on the “Create Production Run” button at the top of the screen. You will see a form where the “product id” field is an autocomplete field (e.g. start typing P R O D…)

you can actually use the “screenxml” (in the controller’s view-entry) and you will get a xml based output that can be imported nicely in Excel; or you can use the CSV export that is accepted by Excel as well (see my previous post on this).

I am a student working on ofbiz.We have planned to create three features in ofbiz which i dono exists or not.
Features:
1)Implementing autocomplete in some places like countrylist,statelist etc.
2)Reducing width of table rows in catalog and other places.
3)Impplementing iphone interface in ofbiz.

Now we have created myinstitute component in ofbiz and now we are looking to implement above 3 ui features.Please need some valuable suggestions to implement autocomplete may be steps to modify existing code in ofbiz.
