Mike Bates, CEO

Mike founded HotWax Media in 1997, and his career in sales, marketing, design and web development spans a dozen years. Mike is focused on business development, acquiring and growing key accounts, and developing a profitable business model around open source software. He has led high-profile projects for numerous national and global brands and has taught web development courses at the graduate level. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Monterey Institute of International Studies with a B.A. in International Studies, he earned his MBA in International Management from the Fisher School.

Jacopo Cappellato V.P. Technology

Jacopo joined HotWax Media Executive Team in 2008. Based in Italy, Jacopo began participating in the Apache Open For Business Project (OFBiz) in 2003 and is now a committer and member of the OFBiz Project Management Committee. Jacopo is also a member of the Apache Software Foundation. Prior to his involvement with HotWax Media, Jacopo participated in several ERP projects for his company, TAU Informatica. He graduated from the University of Studies in Padua with a M.S. in Computer Science Engineering.

Anil Patel, CDO

Anil Patel joined HotWax Media in 2007. Anil leads the offshore development processes for the company, leveraging the cost-advantages and talent pool in India to ensure that the highest quality product is delivered in the most cost-effective manner. Anil also founded Aditisoft in Indore, India in 2001, which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of HotWax Media. He continues to be dedicated to the open-source project as a committer and member of the Apache OFbiz Project Management Committee. Anil graduated from Sagar University in Madhya Pradesh, India, with a Bachelors of Engineering in Telecommunications.

Tim Ruppert, COO

Tim began working with HotWax Media in 1999 and has been part of the executive team since 2005. Tim is focused on optimizing operations to create a profitable business model based on open source software while also leading high-profile and critical projects. Over the past ten years, Tim has led large projects for major private sector and governmental organizations including Sun Microsystems, Coca-Cola, the National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Defense in areas of focus including enterprise resource planning, web-based bioinformatics, and econometric modeling. Tim attended The College of William and Mary where he received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics.
